Cengrs recently completed the geotechnical investigation for the Redevelopment of Muzaffarpur Railway Station at Bihar. The redevelopment of this station falls under the Amrit Bharat Stations scheme, which is dedicated to elevating railway stations across the country to world-class standards.

The revamped station is poised to offer world-class airport-like amenities, enhancing the convenience and comfort of passengers' journeys. The comprehensive redevelopment plan encompasses the construction of a new station building, an expansive 108-meter-wide air plaza spanning over platforms, and provisions for a second entry.

The transformative redevelopment efforts are anticipated to reveal a brand-new look for Muzaffarpur Junction by September 2025.

The geotechnical investigation work for the project includes 20 boreholes with SPT and Electrical Resistivity Tests.
